Public swimming pool
Where: The Lester Prairie public pool is located in Lester Prairie City Park on the south side of Second Avenue South, near Pine Street South.
Features: Water slide, a diving board, kiddie pool, and waterworks. An additional water slide was installed in 2017.
Lessons: Red Cross swimming lessons are offered in the summer. Children must be at least 5 years old and have completed kindergarten. Registration for sessions should be made early, because classes fill up quickly. Call Lester Prairie City Hall at 320-395-2646.
When: The pool opens in June as soon as school lets out, and closes for the year in late August. Pool hours are 1 to 7 p.m.
